his discerning clientele.
Chuck Eubanks grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida and has spent many a day on the local Gulf beaches — a renowned and beautiful area with a national and international influx of visitors. As a native, he understands the history and special appeal of St. Petersburg to the Tampa Bay area. He earned his Florida Optician License in 1983 and has owned and operated various optical establishments in the Tampa Bay area. He keeps current with the latest innovations in the eyewear field completing annual continuing education courses relevant to the industry.
Modern Optics continues the legacy of Elegante Eyewear and Jean Travato's optical and fashion presence in the St. Petersburg area since 1978. In 2011 we re-branded our operation to Modern Optics, reflecting the new forward global sensibilities of the 21st century. We offer quality products from companies whose only purpose is to create innovative, dynamic eyewear challenging the large, overbearing presence and bland sameness of today's corporate eyeglass companies.
